July 7, 2008 by Admin

After an intensive 2 year investigation a man who conned people around the world out of nearly 200 million USD was put behind bars.
Ali Mohamed Kdoud, 39 years of age, was apprehended at the Larnaca airport in Cyprus as he was trying to get away.
Kdoud is charged with having defrauded internet users through common scamming techniques. One such method is to send out e-mails convincing everyday netizens that they have won a lottery for some astronomical amount. Then, these so-called lucky winners were persuaded to give their bank details in order to receive the prize money. These details were later used to defraud the victims of their hard-earned money.
It does not end here, Ndoud even  managed to convince several people to pay token amounts in the name of lottery fees.
